After studying as a designer at Paris fashion school Duperré, Charlotte Halpern began her career working in trend offices and with fashion designers, before moving progressively towards images. A film graduate, Betrand Houdin first worked in the art-buying department at Saatchi & Saatchi, then as a casting director for music videos and commercials. When the pair met in 2001, they decided that their shared love of optical illusions, trompe l’oeil images and graphic riddles was enough reason to team up and create Anamorphée. A mix of image consultancy and a graphic design and photography studio, the collective defines itself as a space for visual experimentation. Anamorphée has worked on Hermès’ squares, prints for Erès swimwear, Gap catalogues, the visual identity of Krug Champagnes, and consulted for Dior Homme perfumes.
